Tesla custom wrap requirements
The editor checks the exported image for you.
- ✓Resolution: 512–1024 pixels, official template aspect ratio
- ✓Format: PNG with transparent UV margins
- ✓File size: no larger than 1 MB
- ✓File name: alphanumeric, spaces, underscores and dashes; max 30 characters
Tesla App v4.59.0+: Creations → Wrap → Upload. Or copy to a root-level Wraps folder on a compatible USB drive. Features depend on your vehicle and software version.
Frequently asked questions
What is a UV template?
A UV template is a flat map of the vehicle’s body panels. Each white region corresponds to a surface on the vehicle visualization.
Is this an official Tesla tool?
No. This is an independent tool and is not affiliated with Tesla, Inc. Official template files are attributed to Tesla.
Will this change the physical paint?
No. These designs change the vehicle’s digital appearance in Paint Shop only.
Is the 3D preview exact?
The MVP uses a schematic 3D vehicle to visualize colors and artwork. Exact panel placement is checked on the official UV template; licensed vehicle models will be added later.
Where are my designs stored?
Guest drafts stay in this browser. Signed-in cloud projects are private unless you share them. AI sends your prompt to the configured image provider.
